Happy new year for 2026 and a special thank you to the Canada council for the arts in awarding us $47,300.00 for our project

Happy new years to each and everyone and a special welcome to all newcomers here @ Jacobson native art in 2026. We appreciate your energy and support and thank you for standing in solidarity with the truth. I have always been a source of real integrity and honesty here and will continue to do so each and everyday. I’ve learned that you can’t please everyone and that’s alright with me. We continue to move forward protecting our culture and the truth contained in it for future generations. As we’ve learned not everything is as it appears. A case in point with no doubts about it is the real truth of who Norval Morrisseau was. We will continue to educate as we move along with new journeys and experiences. It’s been a profound revelation exposing this and setting the record straight as best as I could. There’s no turning back …

I want to acknowledge the Canada council of the arts for awarding my studio a grant for $47,300.00. I’m currently getting my canvases built and there will be 4 of them at 8 feet by 5 feet each for a new project I’ll be spearheading with mentorship and apprenticeship. I’m feeling quite inspired as these 4 canvases will tell a story I wanted to do for quite sometime. These 4 paintings will be the ultimate benchmark for me and I’m sure for many others when I’m finished. The concepts and interpretations of birth, life, death and rebirth will be examined and brought into manifestation. I’m excited to dive into this project and give it my 100%. It’s nice to have some support from the Canada council of the arts. It’s refreshing really. I’ve got a team of grant writers and have gotten 2 out of 3 this year. I hadn’t applied for any grants in over 30 years. Now that I have a team supporting me I’ll be a bit more active in that department.
It was our sons birthday last month and he turned 8 years old. The greatest blessing I’ve ever known is all contained in his existence. Each and everyday his light and power continues to grow and unfold, it’s the most beautiful journey I’ve ever experienced and both Kass and I are fulfilled by his life and presence. So magical and precious. He’s doing amazing and we are so happy to be apart of his daily plan. The winter season has been good to us here in the Kootenay mountains of B.C. Not a lot of snow at this point but we are prepared here for that when it does come down. On that note I just wanted to say happy new year and I look forward to what’s coming in 2026. I should add that over the last 16 months I’ve done around 3000 image prompts and have boiled it down to a thousand. Many from that pick will be used for new woodland A.I. paintings over the next 5 years. I’ve got several of them being worked on in the studio and will get back to them soon. Rest as they say has been good for my soul…
